Business School Building of Brighton University, awarded at the Façade Awards UK for best use of a ceramic rainscreen system.

This impressive building was created in a new area of ​​the University of Brighton dedicated to offering students a real business and innovation experience around the former Preston Barracks by Aliva UK.

Inspired by the iconic Brighton Pier and the flocks of birds it attracts, the 14.430 custom-made ceramic tiles on the façade represent the process of change that students undergo during university life.

Hassel Architects designed an impressive tiled facade that echoes the murmuring flocks of starlings seen over Brighton Pier on winter nights.
